Minnesota Home Energy Training (MNHET) is a partnership between the Minnesota Department of Commerce and Center for Energy and Environment (CEE) that recruits, trains, and supports energy efficiency careers across the state. MNHET builds on a nearly 50-year legacy of home energy training and the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP). MNHET will expand access to high-quality energy training across Minnesota.
With experienced partners in energy efficiency including Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College, The Energy Conservatory, and Slipstream, MNHET delivers cutting-edge building science training and state-of-the-art training facilities for participants at every stage in their energy efficiency careers.

The Energy Conservatory (TEC)
The Energy Conservatory (TEC) hosts trainings from their Oakdale facility in the Twin Cities Metro. The TEC facility features a state-of-the-art classroom, indoor BPI test house, and a variety of model HVAC equipment for hands-on learning that meets the needs of entry level and advanced students.
Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College
Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College (FDLTCC) hosts trainings from their campus in Cloquet. The FDLTCC campus includes modern classroom space, workshop space for hands-on learning, and a 1920s era lab house that further enhances real-world experiences.
