Get paid to host an intern as they complete a paid building science training pilot through the Minnesota Department of Commerce. Interns will have prior training in building science and can work flexible hours on job sites or in your company shop. Throughout their training, they will work toward industry-recognized credentials (i.e., OSHA 10, EPA 608).
Why host an intern?
Salary, benefits, and insured workers’ compensation will be provided by another company on your behalf. Depending on the organization, they may be able to support your company by having the intern on their payroll.

How do you qualify?
To host an intern, you must:
- Be able to host them for at least 4 weeks
- Have a crew lead or technician that can provide on-the-job training to the intern
- Have an interest and commitment to training the next generation of building science professionals
- Be currently performing work for a weatherization agency or be planning to perform work for an agency later this year.
