Uniform Grant Guidance for Federal Funds Training Commerce has once again partnered with CPA Kevin Myren, who will lead a half-day virtual training on Uniform Grant Guidance for Federal Funds from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) 2 CFR 200. As a reminder, per WAP MN Policy Manual Section 6.9.2.1, any fiscal staff working with the weatherization program must attend initial training on OMB Guidelines within one year of the hire date. This course meets that requirement. 

Many WAP agencies across the country would like to add multifamily (MF) buildings to their pipeline. Their clients live there; the buildings use substantial amounts of energy, and owners have the ability to co-invest. This 3–4-day class will walk through the administrative, energy performance, and owner/tenant interaction in the process of completing these buildings. This hands-on class is appropriate for those that are new to Multifamily Energy Auditing as well as those with more experience.

This one-day session helps certified energy auditors prepare for their BPI HEP Energy Auditor field recertification exam. Participants will review the BPI Field Guide, refresh key building science concepts, and practice critical diagnostic tests used in the field. The course concludes with the opportunity to complete the proctored field exam on site in the days following the review (scheduled separately).

The Building Science Principles (BSP) Certificate of Knowledge is an introductory, self-paced online course that teaches the fundamentals of energy efficient home performance. It covers how various home systems — like insulation, HVAC, and lighting — interact to impact comfort, safety, and energy efficiency, and explains why improving these systems is essential before pursuing renewable energy upgrades. 

In this self-paced online course, you will learn about various health and safety issues and solutions that are common in Weatherization work.  The course covers the WPN 22-7 "Table of Issues" as required by the US Department of Energy.

This one-day course educates you how to conduct renovating and remodeling activities in a lead-safe manner. This course is for persons who conduct or oversee non-abatement lead-based paint activities. This course satisfies the training requirement to obtain EPA Renovator Certification under the EPA Renovator, Remodeler, and Painter Rule.   

This four-hour course is designed for persons who have previously completed a Lead-Safe Renovator course and wish to update their training to satisfy the refresher training requirement for certification.
